e-Hospital Project:

NIC (National Informatics Centre) has developed HMIS (Cloud Ready Workflow Based Integrated e-Hospital and e-Blood solutions for Central & State Government/Semi- Government/Autonomous/Cooperative Hospitals namely PHC/CHC/District Hospital/Referral Hospital/Blood Bank Centers, to meet the requirements of all types of hospitals in Healthcare sector across India. e-Hospital and e-Blood Bank are generic applications, which address all the major functional areas of a Hospital and Blood Bank Centre.

C-Net Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is one of the empanelled agencies by NIC to assist Government Hospitals in implementation. C-Net has been awarded the job to provide support services to Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa and Chhattisgarh.

Tangible benefits of e-Hospital include drastic reduction in patient “waiting time”; overall streamlining of all hospital processes, easy access for doctors to relevant information on patients, diseases, investigations, diagnoses, prescribed medicines, past history, etc.

Better control over the stock maintenance resulting in possible inventory reduction and proper billing and up-to-date accounts maintenance.

Registration of patients is an area in which e-Hospital lends complete control. It keeps track of all registered patients through unique permanent health identification numbers (UHID). Returning patients are therefore not treated as new patients. UHID helps the participating hospitals to track the patient movement within the same district, taluka or village.

e-Hospital@NIC provides various MIS reports related to billing, MRD, consultants, inventory, etc., which helps management in better monitoring and planning. It also provides statistical reports which give information on common diseases prevalent in the catchment areas of the hospital.

E-Blood Bank is a web based comprehensive blood bank management Solution and covers all the activities of a standard blood bank.

In the current phase 3 separate modules are implemented. The unit has the option to implement all or either of the modules. The modules are listed:
